The Stephenville Research Business Office is responsible for daily business functions, organizing and implementing office operations and procedures:

• Human resources and payroll
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Project accounting, budgets, expenses, revenues
• Procurement and Purchasing management
• Travel scheduling and processing
• Property inventory management
• Information technology and telecommunications
• Fleet vehicle supervision
• Building and grounds maintenance

Stephenville Research and Extension Center is home to multiple research laboratories:

• Forage with a focus on forage quality and plant/animal interactions
• Genomics and microbiology with a focus on DNA sequencing
• Environmental engineering with interests in sustainable agriculture, water and energy utilizing wastes and waste water
• Entomology and livestock/veterinary entomology
• Soils with an interest in soil morphology and soil genesis
