The Stephenville Research Business Office is responsible for daily business functions, organizing and implementing office operations and procedures:
- Human resources and payroll
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Project accounting, budgets, expenses, revenues
- Procurement and Purchasing management
- Travel scheduling and processing
- Property inventory management
- Information technology and telecommunications
- Fleet vehicle supervision
- Building and grounds maintenance
Stephenville Research and Extension Center is home to multiple research laboratories:
- Forage with a focus on forage quality and plant/animal interactions
- Genomics and microbiology with a focus on DNA sequencing
- Environmental engineering with interests in sustainable agriculture, water and energy utilizing wastes and waste water
- Entomology and livestock/veterinary entomology
- Soils with an interest in soil morphology and soil genesis
