Goat Nutrition Research in Texas
Goat production is on the increase in the southern USA. Spreading from traditional dry rangeland areas to regions with more rainfall, intensification has been the key. Our research programs at the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station, Tarleton State and Angelo State (funded by THECB ATP grants in 1999 and 2001) have focused on answering producer questions that arise as supplements, cultivated pasture, and hay systems originally developed for beef cattle are now being adapted to goat production. The results are posted here for goat producers (and their supporting agencies) to access as they seek to meet the growing meat goat market.

Additional postings will occur as results come out, so keep checking!!
