| Plant Species: | Sorghum, sudangrass, johnsongrass, and sorghum-sudan hybrids. | ||
| Causes: | Disfunction of the bladder primarily caused by bacteria infection. | ||
| Mode of Action: | Unknown. | ||
| Animal Symptoms: | Straining, frequent and urgent urination, but only passing small amounts. | ||
| Conditions: | More common in mares; it occurs when grazing. | ||
| Treatment: | Prolonged use (1 month) of strong antibiotic. | ||
| Prevention: | Avoid grazing sorghum-sudan pastures. | ||
| Notes: | Not a common problem. | ||
