	Ken received his B.S. (1967) and M.S. (1969) in Agricultural Economics from Texas Tech and his Ph.D. (1980) from Texas A&M. Prior to joining Texas A&M in 1982, he was on the faculty at Clemson University. His recent educational endeavors include coordinating a multi-state risk management effort and training producers to evaluate alternative pricing methods. Stokes has worked in Poland, Kyrghystan, Nigeria and Tanzania. Ken is active in the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA). He earned the Accredited Farm Manager designation and is currently serving a three-year term as Academic Vice President for the national organization and as President of the Texas chapter.
