	Ron Gill assists in providing leadership to statewide programming efforts for the Texas Beef Safety and Quality Assurance Program. In a cooperative effort, the Texas Beef Quality Producer Program was developed with the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raiser´s Association, Texas Beef Council and Texas Cooperative Extension to deliver the Beef Safety and Quality Assurance program to Texas producers. Ron is also involved in the Integrate Resouce Management (IRM) of ranch resources focusing on forage and beef cattle production and management in both cow-calf and stocker operations. The IRM efforts link directly with the Beef Quality in Texas initiative and the national effort into Total Quality Management (TQM) of beef cattle, focusing on nutrition, health and genetic factors affecting quality.
