Houses that are excessively sealed with non permeable plastic moisture barriers are slower to dry following any type of moisture invasion. Plastic coated wall papers are nice until moisture invades the wall. They then provide an excellent mold atmosphere. When house mold infestations are examined, they usually are made up of several distinct colonies of fungi that vary in growth type and color.
