The 55th annual BIG conference will be December 13-14, 2016 at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas. This year, Julie Borlaug, Associate Director of External Relations at the Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture at Texas A&M, will be the keynote speaker on December 13th at noon. The title of her address is “Agricultural Sustainability In A Challenging Marketplace”.

From The Ground Up; Connecting Agriculture and Health
The program will be held on Tuesday, December 13 from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm at the Waco Convention Center. On-site registration begins at 8:30 am. “From the Ground Up” topics will include the domestic and global issue of hunger, food waste, food labeling, and the New Dietary Guidelines. A nutrition and culinary segment will include important factors related to nutrition and food preparation as a health benefit. Pre-registration before December 1 is $35 and $40 after December 1.
